Reflections Art Program

2018-19 Reflections

We had the San Ramon Valley Council PTA’s Reflections showcase on November 15th, at Pine Valley Middle School. The entries that advanced from WRMS were on display, and the winners at Council level were Reflections 2018   recognized by the school district superintendent Rick Schimdt. From   our school, the Visual Art entry by Hannah L received the Award of   Merit and the Music Composition by Neha V. received the   Honorable Mention. Congratulations to both!   

 We would like to invite you all to the WRMS Reflections Showcase   on January 28th, as part of our PTSA meeting. More details in the   coming weeks.

 


Congratulations to all the students who participated in "Heroes Around me" Reflections art program! All of you have gained from the experience of creating amazing entries, and sharing your thoughts about various heroes. Thanks to the judges who have done an excellent job of scoring the art according to rubric!  

The winners advancing to the council level are:

  • Visual Art - The Greatest Mom by Hannah L.; 6th grade
  • Literature - All Around Me, Right Beside Me by Destiny  P.; 8th grade
  • Photography - Watching My Hero by The River, by Sahar Bano A.; 6th grade
  • Music Composition - My Family by Neha V.; 6th grade.

The honorable mention winners are:

  • Visual art - A Place Beyond Here by Jamie Y.; 8th grade
  • Literature -  All is Well by Natalie T.; 8th grade
  • Photography - Sky Lawn Memorial for Ronnie, by Saachi T.; 8th grade

These entries will be on display at the Council Reflections Showcase on November 15th at Pine Valley Middle School. Good Luck to the winning entries!

 


50Reflections 2018-19th National PTA Reflections            

Theme: "Heroes Around Me"                                                                      

PTA's Reflections program encourages students of all ages to:

  • Unleash creative talents and be inspired
  • Express themselves imaginatively in their artwork
  • Experience the fun and joy of making art
  • Tap into critical-thinking skills to create art inspired by the annual theme
  • Receive positive recognition for their original works of art.

Students may submit original creations in one or more of these six categories:

  • Visual Arts
  • Literature
  • Photography
  • Dance Choreography
  • Film Production
  • Music Composition
